Mark and Krissy specialize in Classical, Jazz and folk duets for guitar and flute/voice. They have been performing professionally together since 1997 and are a popular duet ensemble in the Chicago and surrounding area.

Mark Edwards has a Masters Degree in Jazz and Classical Compositions and Guitar performance from Roosevelt University. He is an instructor of Jazz and Classical Guitar at the Old Town School of Folk Music. In 1994 he won the Downbeat Jazz Performance award in Oakland, California and his first CD "Fretworks" is on sale at "Different Strummer Music" on Lincoln Avenue.

Krissy Strand has had extensive training in voice with such recording artists as Lisa Allen and Jazz vocalist Jackie Allen. In 1995, Krissy won a series of outstanding flute awards in Indiana, is a student of Flutist Judith Johnson Brown and is currently recording a cd of all original music with the popular Chicago ensemble "Toltec".

Mark and Krissy are available for varied musical performance genres and events; whether is it torchy Jazz vocal songs, Baroque flute and guitar duets, folk songs or Romantic/ambient background music. They are popular performers at college recitals, weddings, private parties, corporate events and coffee houses. Their cd "Romantica" is available now on Luminous Recordings. They can also be seen around Chicago in the progressive Rock/Jazz art group: "Toltec".
